AMERICAN AIRLINES’ TRIP-A-WEEK GIVEAWAY SWEEPSTAKES OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR CLAIM PRIZE. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
TO ENTER. To enter the American Airlines’ Trip-A-Week Giveaway Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”), between 6:00:01 am Eastern Daylight Time (“EDT”) June 2, 2008 and 11:59:59 pm EDT October 12, 2008 (the “Promotion Period”), complete an official entry form online at www.steveharvey.com. You must enter your name, address, city, state, zip code, email address, date of birth, day and evening phone number (including area code), your selected American Airlines flight destination within the continental United States, Canada, Mexico, or Caribbean that is served by American Airlines or their Airline Associates, and a brief statement about why you would like to win two (2) American Airlines Travel Award Certificates. All entries must be received by 11:59:59 pm EDT on October 12, 2008. Once submitted, all entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged nor will they be returned. Limit one (1) entry per person per day. Participants’ brief statements may be posted on the entry page at the discretion of the Sweepstakes Entities.
PRIZE DETAILS. Nineteen (19) Weekly Grand Prizes. Each Grand Prize (“Prize”) consists of two (2) Travel Authorization Certificates (“Travel Certificate(s)”) for round-trip coach air transportation on American Airlines, or its Airline Associates (American Eagle® or the AmericanConnection® carriers) from any city served by American Airlines or its Airline Associates in the 48 contiguous states to any other city served by American Airlines or its Airline Associates in the 48 contiguous states or any city in Canada, the Caribbean, or Mexico served by American Airlines or its Airline Associates (Approximate Retail Value: $1,400.00 each). Winners are responsible for the full cost of transportation to and from the closest American Airlines departure and arrival city. American Airlines is not responsible for products or services offered by other participating companies. The Total Approximate Retail Value of all prizes is $26,600.00. Winners are responsible for any applicable fees, service charges, surcharges or passenger facility charges, and all insurance, federal, state and local taxes, if any. Winners also are responsible for any gratuities, meals, incidentals and any other unspecified expenses associated with acceptance or use of the Prize. Prizes are provided “as is” and without any warranty of any kind. Prizes are non-transferable. No cash redemption or prize substitution allowed by winner. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize, including travel destinations of equal or greater value, if advertised prize becomes unavailable. Limit one (1) prize per household/family. If a winner cannot be contacted or is disqualified, the Administrator reserves the right to determine an alternate winner in its sole discretion. Unclaimed prize(s) will not be awarded. Other restrictions may apply.
PRIZE DRAWING(S). A random drawing will be conducted by The Steve Harvey Morning Show (the “Radio Show”) on or about each Monday between June 9, 2008 and October 13, 2008 between 6:00am EDT and 10:00am EDT (the “Weekly Drawing(s)”) from among all eligible entries received by 11:59:59pm EDT the preceding day. Three (3) or more participants will be randomly selected at the Radio Show’s sole discretion, and the participants may be eligible to have their names announced on-air. Listen to your local affiliate radio station broadcasting the Radio Show live during the Weekly Drawing and if your name is randomly chosen and announced on-air by the Radio Show, you will have thirty (30) minutes to call the Radio Show’s contest line at 1-877-297-8383 to win and verify your information. If an announced participant does not call within thirty (30) minutes, the participant will automatically be disqualified and the name of the next participant selected in that random drawing will be announced and that next participant will have thirty (30) minutes to call. The process will be repeated until a weekly Prize is awarded to a winner or until the names of the randomly selected participants in the list have been announced. If no one calls, the weekly Prize may be included in the next random drawing, in addition to the weekly Prize scheduled, at the Administrator and Radio Show’s discretion. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received during each Weekly Drawing. Winners agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Administrator and Radio Show, whose decisions are final on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. If a winner cannot be contacted from the information provided on the online entry form, the Administrator and Radio Show reserve the right to select another winner at its sole discretion, and shall determine an alternate winner in same manner as applicable to selection of original winner. Each winner (or a winner's parent/legal guardian if winner is deemed a minor in his/her state of residence) will be required to sign, have notarized, and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release (including, where permitted, a Publicity Release) within fourteen (14) days of notification via mail or email. A parent or legal guardian of any participant who is a minor must sign a release on behalf of the minor for the minor to be eligible to receive a prize. A prize won by a minor may be awarded to the minor’s parent or legal guardian in the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Winners will be subject to a verification process, to include winner’s name, address, home phone number, work/cell phone number, and social security number. Failure to return the executed Affidavit within that time may result in forfeiture of prize and random selection of alternate winner from remaining eligible entries. The Sweepstakes Entities are not liable if prize notification letter is lost in the mail or email is not responded to within the time allowed. Except where prohibited, acceptance of a prize constitutes winner’s consent to use of his/her name and/or photograph without further compensation for advertising, promotional and publicity purposes by Sponsor, Administrator, and Radio Show. By accepting prize, winner(s) acknowledges compliance with these official rules.
ODDS. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received by each Weekly Drawing.
ELIGIBILITY. Participants and winners must be legal residents of the continental United States or District of Columbia (excluding California) and at least 18 years or older as of the date of the entry. Subject to all laws and regulations and void in Alaska, Hawaii, California, and Puerto Rico and where prohibited or restricted by law. Individuals who have won a prize from the Administrator or Radio Show within one hundred eighty (180) days prior to the start date of this Sweepstakes are not eligible. Employees and agents of American Airlines (the “Sponsor), Premiere Radio Networks, Inc. (Administrator”), Nu-Opp Inc., and the Steve Harvey Morning Show (collectively, the “Sweepstakes Entities”) and each of their parent and affiliates, agencies, distributors, wholesalers and retailers, and members of such employees’ immediate families and individuals living in the same household with such employees, are not eligible to win. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren, whether as “in-laws,” or by current or past marriage(s), remarriage(s), adoption, cohabitation or other family extension, and any other persons residing at the same household whether or not related. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law.
AMERICAN AIRLINES TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION CERTIFICATE TERMS. A Travel Certificate may be used to purchase air travel wholly on American Airlines, American Eagle carriers and AmericanConnection® carriers. Travel Certificates are redeemable for air travel sold and originating in the 48 United States. Travel Certificates are not returnable or redeemable for cash, except where required by law. A lost, stolen or damaged Travel Certificates will not be replaced. A Travel Certificate has no implied warranties and is not a credit or debit card. A Travel Certificate is based on availability at the time of reservation, and must adhere to applicable blackout dates. A Travel Certificate is valid for one year from the date issued. Expiration date cannot be extended. Travel using Travel Certificates does not qualify for American Airlines AAdvantage mileage credit. American Airlines reserves the right to revise rules and conditions at any time without notice. Sponsor is not liable for any expense incurred as a consequence of a flight cancellation or flight delay.
AMERICAN AIRLINES TRAVEL TERMS. Travel for each winner must take place within one (1) year from the date the Travel Certificates are issued. If winner is unable to travel by this date, prize will be forfeited. Travel must originate and end at the airport nearest winner’s home that is served by American Airlines or their Airline Associates. Each winner and their chosen guest may be required to possess and present all required travel documents, including, but not limited to, a valid passport prior to departure. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Certain travel restrictions and blackout dates may apply. Travel is subject to availability and certain other restrictions, which are subject to change in the sole discretion of American Airlines. Winner’s guest must be 18 years of age or older if not a member of winner’s immediate family and will be required to execute and return a liability/publicity release (which must also be signed by such guest’s parent or legal guardian, if minor) prior to travel. Winner and winner’s guest must travel together on the same itinerary, including the same departure date, destination and return date. No stopovers are permitted on tickets issued as a prize; if a stopover occurs, the prize will terminate at the stopover point and full fare will be charged for the remaining segments, including the return, of the trip. Sponsor is not liable for any expenses incurred as a consequence of a flight cancellation or flight delay. Schedules subject to change without notice.
USE OF DATA. Sponsor will be collecting personal data about participants online, in accordance with its privacy policy. Please review the Sponsor's privacy policy at www.aa.com/privacy. By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants hereby agree to Sponsor's collection and usage of their personal information and acknowledge that they have read and accepted Sponsor's privacy policy.
TAXES. Any valuation of the prizes stated above is based on available information provided to the Sponsor, and the value of any prize awarded to a winner may be reported for tax purposes as required by law. Winners are solely responsible for reporting and paying any and all applicable taxes. Winners must provide the Administrator with valid identification and a valid taxpayer identification number or social security number before any prize will be awarded. Any person winning over $600 in prizes from the Sponsor will receive an IRS form 1099 at the end of the calendar year from the Administrator and a copy of such form will be filed with the IRS.
OTHER CONDITIONS. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this sweepstakes or any portion hereof, or to disqualify any individual implicated in any of the following actions, if for any reason: (a) infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, actions by entrants, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which, in Sponsor’s sole opinion, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the sweepstakes, (b) the sweepstakes or any website associated therewith (or any portion thereof) becomes corrupted or does not allow the proper processing of entries per these rules, or (c) the sweepstakes is otherwise not capable of running as planned by Sponsor. By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Administrator, Radio Show, Nu-Opp, Inc., and each of their parent(s), subsidiaries, affiliates, divisions, advertising and promotional agencies, wholesalers and retailers, and each of the foregoing entities’ employees, officers, directors, shareholders and agents (collectively the “Released Parties”), from and against any and all claims, actions and/or liability for any injuries or death, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in and/or entry into the sweepstakes or acceptance or use of any prize. The Released Parties are not responsible or liable for any incorrect or inaccurate entry information, and assume no responsibility for (i) any error, omission, interruption, defect or delay in operation or transmission at any website, (ii) failure of any entry to be received by Sponsor due to technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, (iii) communications line, hardware and/or software failures, (iv) damage to any computer (software or hardware) resulting from participation in the sweepstakes, (v) theft or destruction of, tampering with, unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries and/or entry information, or (vi) entries which are late, lost, stolen, damaged, illegible, unintelligible and/or postage due (or any combination thereof). The use of third-party software or website or automated entry systems to participate is prohibited, and Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify entries made in such fashion. By entering, entrants agree to comply with these rules. Any entrant who attempts to tamper with this sweepstakes in any way shall be disqualified. In the event of dispute as to who submitted an online entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the Authorized Account Holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the natural person assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the email address in question. Additional restrictions may apply.
DISPUTES. Entrant agrees that: (i) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this sweepstakes or any prizes awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas or the appropriate Texas State Court located in Fort Worth, Texas; (ii) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the sweepstakes but in no event attorneys' fees; and (iii) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Texas, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Texas or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Texas.
WINNERS' LIST. For a copy of the rules, or where required by law, a winners list, mail a written request with a stamped, self-addressed return envelope to American Airlines’ Trip-A -Week Giveaway Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 632, Los Angeles, CA 90078. Vermont residents only may omit return postage. Winners list will be available for six (6) months beginning November 28, 2008.
